Bangalore Open


The Bangalore Open (sponsored name: Sony Ericsson International) is a tennis tournament held in Bangalore, India. The tournament began in Hyderabad in 2003, and moved to Bangalore in 2006. This WTA Tour event is a Tier III-tournament and is played on outdoor hardcourts. The 2007 edition was won by 19-year old Yaroslava Shvedova, who defeated top-seeded defending champion Mara Santangelo 6-4, 6-4, in the finals, winning her first WTA Tour title.
